Super Saturday's horse racing thread ๐งต
Warwick 1.15 Hollygrove Cha Cha 15/8
Newbury 1.35 A Pai De Nom 11/8 NEXT BEST
Newbury 2.10 Haiti Couleurs 11/10 NAP
Lingfield 2.20 King Of Chaos 15/8
Newbury 3.20 Tutti Quanti 5/1 each way
Newbury 3.55 Itseemslikeit 5/1 each way
The ground should play a big part here and HOLLYGROVE CHA CHA relishes it when the mud is flying. I know she was poor at Windsor but her jumping fell apart that day. This track will suit better and if she gets into a nice rhythm she should be the one to side with.
Another horse that is proven in deep ground is the likeable A PAI DE NOM. He has progressed well this season winning 3 of his 5 starts over hurdles and he certainly wasn't disgraced with the quicker ground probably against him when third behind Iberico Lord at Kempton. This test is much more ideal and he has more to come for a yard that won this race 12 months ago.
I'm looking forward to seeing Welsh Grand National hero HAITI COULEURS back out. I think Rebecca Curtis has made the right decision avoiding Ireland and coming here and if he gets jumping and in a nice rhythm they are going to struggle to beat him as he has stamina in abundance and is clearly a smart progressive stayer.
I thought that was a big run from KING OF CHAOS at Wolverhampton last month. He was only beaten a length and stretching out to 7f now could be a catalyst for further progression. He can settle better and it would be no surprise to see him a cut above these as this race lacks strength in depth.
The improving TUTTI QUANTI looked well suited by this C&D to win the Gerry Feilden here when last seen in soft ground. He is still very much unexposed and looks off a fair mark given he has been kept with this race in mind specifically. He has more to come and I really can't see how he doesn't run a big race so 5/1 at the time of writing is more than fair.
I've been impressed with ITSEEMSLIKEIT winning both starts over fences. I know this is considerably tougher but he gets his conditions again and I'd be almost certain he has a fair bit more to come yet. He will keep galloping when the others have cried enough and is worth keeping on side again here.
A promising young horse!
QUAY ITEM looks to have stamina in abundance given the way he leaped over the last.
