We tested Vera Salt ("microplastic-free") and found 64 microplastic particles per gram.

Vera's own lab ran non-detect.

Vera used light microscopy (floor ~20 µm). We used LDIR laser imaging (floor ~15 µm) which scans every particle and confirms the polymer.

Different method, lots tested 14 months apart.

What we found:
- 59% polypropylene
- plus PVC, rubber, polyethylene, nylon, PTFE and 4 more
- most particles 15-40 µm, larger than the sub-20 µm range most readily absorbed by the gut

Heavy metals came back clean:
- Lead: non-detect
- Cadmium: non-detect
- Arsenic: non-detect
- Mercury: non-detect

For context: at a 1.5 g serving that's ~96 particles a day, a small contributor next to water, air and packaged food.

Vera score remains high on Oasis because metals are clean and the particles are too large to be readily absorbed.

No health authority has set an intake limit.

@HemmerleinLee I bought a TYM 3 years ago. It’s a Branson with a TYM sticker. I don’t have a farm but use mine to bush hog, mulch saplings, and graveldriveway maintenance. Works well. Stronger and higher lift capacity than others. Simple tech. Cummings designed engine. Keep front screen clean.
