The paper develops arguments for testimonial skepticism, argues that the standard solutions don't work, and concludes that the right move is to embrace the argument's conclusion by rejecting epistemological individualism for epistemological communitarianism.

AIDS denial is the most harmful form of science denial and yet it's often near the bottom of the list. The only reasons I can think of for this are:
a) its harms disproportionately affect Black people, and
b) it doesn't neatly fit the narrative of unjustified mistrust of science.
