@BartoszMilewski @fabgenovese That is not the question. You asked where the value comes from. These are answers to that question. Also, your statement about belief-based investing is paradoxical. Investing is intrinsically an act of belief. The belief that it'll pay out in the end.

@BartoszMilewski @fabgenovese Institutions have always taken an adversary stance versus bitcoin so far. I wouldn't give too much credence to their biased conclusions. When new bitcoins become scarcer with the next division, I believe we'll see the principles hold, as it happened every previous time.

@BartoszMilewski @fabgenovese I see two obvious sources of value : (1) finite supply makes it an interesting hedge versus inflation; (2) cheaper international transfers; of course there’s also more than that.

@pati_gallardo Surely jQuery and Flash played a role, but I believe Firefox has had the biggest impact overall, and then Google for pushing online services further.
