Happy 100th birthday Harper Lee! Alabama storyteller Nelle Harper Lee was born on April 28, 1926 in Monroeville, Alabama. Like so many, I learned early from To Kill a Mockingbird that real courage means doing what's right, even when it's hard.
I often quote this line from Atticus Finch, "You never really understand a person until you consider things from his point of view...Until you climb inside of his skin and walk around in it." What a better world we would live in if we all sought to understand people who are different from us like Atticus did. Atticus Finch showed us what integrity looks like, a lesson I've carried with me my whole life.
On this Harper Lee Centennial Day, I'm so grateful for her voice and her legacy.
Dems could have folded after TX but they did not.
It was CA Prop 50. Reclaiming a seat in UT. Pushing back in OH, IN, NH, NE, & KS. Now a big win in VA.
These results don’t happen by accident. Huge credit on strategy & resources to execute the strategy goes to @hakeemjeffries

In between singing wheels on the bus, we discussed our administration’s vision for this City — one where New York’s Cutest have the strongest start possible.
🚨NEW: The Prince William County School Board is expected to approve a resolution at its next meeting calling on the Prince William County Board of Supervisors to honor and fully implement the longstanding revenue-sharing agreement between the County and the School Division.
There is a funding dispute happening between the School Board and Board of Supervisors. The Prince William County Board of Supervisors indicated during its Tuesday meeting it could reduce the county public school system’s budget by $31 million.
PWCS says since its adoption on December 8, 1998, the revenue-sharing agreement has provided a stable, transparent, and predictable framework for funding Prince William County Public Schools. Under the agreement, the School Division is entitled to receive 57.23% of general County revenues, PWCS said.
“We urge the Board of Supervisors to honor the terms of the agreement as adopted, in the spirit of the mutual trust and fiscal discipline that has long defined the relationship between our two governing bodies.”
