HBO and A24 are officially co-producing a 6-part 'BATMAN' detective series directed by Robert Eggers.
The project will reportedly be an R-rated, highly stylized period piece set in 1920s Gotham with zero CGI.
The DCU’s Batman-related projects are reportedly expected to follow a horror-driven approach, with Gotham being developed as a darker, more terrifying corner of the DC Universe.
@DEB10042 Not to be that guy but it has everything to do with the attention span of modern comic readers. Also Snyder does have a tendency to rush his stories and then fumble the third arc imo. Not saying that we will see that happen but I have worries for how he will finish this
To add to this point, Absolute Batman feels like a book that is overly concerned with hype moments and is taking the Marvel Comics approach at keeping readers hooked by not allowing arcs to fully flesh out before quickly darting to the next one in hopes of keeping engagement up
My problem is that it does nothing with that anger. We've strayed way too far away from this book being about a working class Batman and instead got Batgod 2.0
the backrooms is actually the perfect metaphor for buddhism. you're stumbling endlessly through a maze of conditions you don't really understand. death is certain whether near or far at any given moment. there's a way out but its not at all obvious and extremely rare to find
