The same man who recently celebrated obtaining U.S. permanent residency has now returned to tell us that our nation’s ‘calling’ is Revival, and our nation will go down if we don’t fulfill that mission. Funnily, the congregations who have probably never boarded a plane before are applauding.😅
🔥 WHEN DR. ABEL DAMINA OPENS THE SCRIPTURES, THE CONVERSATION CHANGES!
One thing that stands out about Dr. Abel Damina is his emphasis on understanding the Scriptures in their proper context, especially the letters of Apostle Paul.
For years, many Christians have heard Bible verses quoted without being taught how to understand the message, audience, historical background, and purpose behind those verses. Sometimes, a verse written to address a particular issue in the early church is presented as though it were a universal command without considering the context.
This is where sound Bible interpretation becomes essential.
📖 PAUL'S LETTERS ARE NOT JUST VERSES TO QUOTE THEY ARE LETTERS TO UNDERSTAND.
Paul wrote to different churches and individuals, addressing issues such as the law and grace, salvation, the identity of the believer in Christ, the relationship between Jews and Gentiles, church order, spiritual gifts, and Christian conduct.
Understanding these letters requires more than memorizing Scriptures. It requires paying attention to:
✅ Who was Paul writing to?
✅ What problem was he addressing?
✅ What was the context of the passage?
✅ How does the passage fit into the overall message of the gospel?
✅ How should the passage be understood in the light of Christ's finished work?
Dr. Damina frequently challenges ministers and Bible teachers to move beyond religious traditions and allow the Scriptures to explain themselves. His teaching style often exposes inconsistencies in interpretations that appear to contradict the broader message of the gospel.
When a pastor struggles to explain Paul's teaching on grace, the law, righteousness, salvation, or the believer's identity in Christ, the answer should not be to avoid the difficult passages. The answer is to return to the Scriptures, study carefully, and seek understanding.
The pulpit is not a place for confidently repeating what we have heard. It is a place for faithfully communicating what the Scriptures teach.
A preacher may be sincere, passionate, and highly respected, yet still need to grow in biblical interpretation. That is why every minister must remain teachable.
🔥 The real question is not: “Who is the most popular preacher?”
The real question is:
“Who is handling the Word of God accurately, responsibly, and in the light of the gospel of Christ?”
Paul himself instructed Timothy:
«“Study to shew thyself approved unto God… rightly dividing the word of truth.” 2 Timothy 2:15»
May the Church grow beyond shallow quotations, fear-based interpretations, and inherited traditions into a deeper understanding of Christ revealed in the Scriptures.
Truth does not become more powerful because a famous preacher says it. Truth is powerful because it is true.
👇 LET'S DISCUSS:
1. Why do some ministers find Paul's letters difficult to explain, especially when discussing grace and the law?
2. Should every Bible verse be interpreted in its immediate context before applying it to the Church today?
3. What is the biggest lesson you have learned from Dr. Abel Damina's approach to Bible interpretation?
4. Can a preacher be sincere and still misunderstand a passage of Scripture?
5. Should Christians examine everything they hear from the pulpit with the Scriptures?

Dear @ApostleArome,
Calvary greetings to you and yours.
Estimates have it that there are 13 million Nigerians suffering from asthma. Their situation has become more life-threatening since the current government took power and ruined the country with hyperinflation which resulted in more expensive medicines.
I ask you to organize a crusade, and heal as many as possible. This will be your greatest contribution to the lives of suffering Nigerians.
Talk to God, the powerful one who has given you the healing power. Kindly tell me when you are ready for the strictly asthma-healing crusade. I can organize a few friends to sort out the logistics.
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Cheers.

"Men, be marrying 3,4,5, or 6 wives.
Marry them and give them one room each, let everyone fend for themselves.
It is because of too much thinking in marrying one wife, you're killing yourself with thinking. You will pay for house (rent), pay for breasts, pay for nyash, pay for eye (lashes). You're paying for everything.
Our ancestors married upto 5 wives and they lived very long. Men don't live long these days. They're dying at 45-50 years because of too much thinking."
