After reading “Speech Sounds” I feel as if it had become apparent that even in a science- fiction event, there is still a large gap in society between the disabled and those not #XUENGL205

The short story, “The Treatment of Bibi Haldar” illustrates differently cultural and religious values than one might particularly understand. The moral of the story is that Bibi just needed someone to love

After reading “Call Me Ahab” by Anne Finger, I was confused as to the main plot of the story. I do not understand why many different time periods were being addressed in the story and the goal of this.

After reading Daniel Alarcon’s Republica and Grau, i really dislikes the relationship that the young boy had with the blind man. I think it is important for people with different backgrounds to interact with eachother yet know how to be kind
@pete_cashen@GraceBagadiong1 i agree with your statement regarding that the family was more in tuned with their appearance than the impacts of other on their lives

Based on the story “Horsie” by Dorothy Parker, I think it is interesting the way that the story is told from the narrative perspective while still having a first hand opinion
#xuengl205 the article, “A Manual For Cleaning Women” identifies the daily tasks and lives of maids who work for wealthy families. What struck me what that the narrator discusses how to steal from the employers without getting caught
#xuengl205 After watching the film Parasite, I found it most fascinating that a family was so desperate for money that they took over the lives of the wealthy
@GraceBagadiong1 This is a great insight about the stories and I think their experiences share a more real perspective of class than I’ve ever seen before

Both the short article and story identified ways which poor people lived in America. I was really taken back when the article “If You Ever Find Yourself” discusses ways to live off the fortunate when you have nothing
@Lichty_Colette I totally agree with your perspective. I think that it was an emotional ending for Michael and he finally gained the confidence he needed
#xuengl205 I really enjoyed the ending of the Black Flamingo where Michael is finally able to be himself and accepted for who he is no matter what Jack thinks, especially during the Drag performance.
