If you listen carefully it’s a misplaced anger at his own parents for not making him feel worthy that turned into raging jealousy of other children who had parents that lifted them up and poured into them. He’s projected all of that onto white people. He needs to mend his heart before thinking about running for any office. White ppl haven’t hurt him. He knows exactly who did. Notice how he doesn’t get the satisfaction he was craving when the interviewer simply anchors himself & doesn’t validate that experience. We should all do more of this. Don’t validate anyone’s experience for the sake of temporary bonding.
Map of partisan affiliation of Texas county judges, and which judgeships I think will flip in November
For example, Webb County’s judge was elected as a Democrat and then reaffiliated, and is now vacating the post to challenge Henry Cuellar, so that’s an easy flip.
I do think one big mistake forecasters on here make is the assumption that every state has a uniform shift in midterm. There will always be states that buck the trend during these due to local issues.
Just as an example:
California was 🔴+17, Hawaii 🔴+27, and Connecticut 🔴+28 in 2006.
The same year, Wyoming was 🔵+40, Tennessee 🔵+39, and Oklahoma 🔵+33.
And the flip-side: the 30 most R-shifting metros since 2016.
No big surprises here, though I didn't expect springfield MA/providence RI to make the list
JUST IN: Miami police officer Luis Hernandez makes UFC debut against convicted felon Sedriques Dumas, walks out to “Sound of da Police,” then chokes Dumas out just 57 seconds into the fight.
A look into greater RGV area.
You can easily see the substantial shift over the years.
Republicans were able to flip this area of 16 counties in South Texas in the 2024 presidential election.
It's been said before but I think one of the greatest indicators of American cultural decline and our transition from an actual country to some amorphous economic zone is the decline of our elites.
The richest people in our society are the tech bros and their VC investor class, and what have they built? Literally nothing.
They are isolated to their weird EA polycules in SF, they have no philanthropic achievements of note, and are perpetually overshadowed by monuments of better billionaires.
Carnegie used his billions to build concert venues, universities, and libraries across America.
Ford built hospitals, created programs for orphans, pioneered the 40 hour work week, and doubled his workers wages because he believed every Ford employee should own a Model T.
Vanderbuilt and Rockefeller fronted the downpayments for Vanderbuilt University and the University of Chicago.
None of our "elite" have come close to them. They just collect shoes and sail around on megayachts.
