@DBashIdeas This is true, AND when I look to whether to consider rabbi part of my mesorah, I check who titled them rabbi/gave smicha. If it's a school (YU, JTS, HUC, etc), the school they went to tells me about their Torah. If it's people, that tells me something else. Bottom up and top down
