Many Nigerians are asking why the police refused to produce Adeyemi before the House of Representatives after being requested to do so.

Here’s the simple explanation.

The House of Representatives makes laws, but it is the courts that interpret and enforce them. If the police are holding Adeyemi based on a valid court order, then they are legally bound to obey that court order until the court says otherwise.

If the House of Representatives wants Adeyemi to appear before them, the proper legal step is to approach the court and seek an order directing the police to produce him.

Justice can never be cracked.
