CASI 24 INTENTOS DE SUICIDIO POR DÍA EN ARGENTINA

Datos oficiales revelan que en Argentina se registran casi 24 intentos de suicidio por día. El 5% termina en muerte. Afecta más a mujeres jóvenes, pero los varones tienen mayor riesgo fatal. Entre abril de 2023 y octubre de 2025 se notificaron 22.249 intentos de suicidio. Advierten qeu el aumento puede deberse a una mejora en el sistema de registro, no necesariamente a más casos.

A quiénes involucra
Las mujeres concentran el 61% de los intentos, sobre todo entre 15 y 19 años. Los varones, aunque intentan menos, tienen un riesgo cinco veces mayor de morir. Los grupos más afectados son los adolescentes y adultos jóvenes.

Cómo sigue
El Ministerio de Salud impulsa la difusión de estos datos para reforzar la detección temprana, el acceso a salud mental y las estrategias de prevención comunitaria.

- 95% no fatales, 5% mortales
- 54,7% requirió internación
- 5,1% de los internados pasó por terapia intensiva

Además
Los principales antecedentes son diagnósticos previos de salud mental, intentos anteriores y consumo problemático de alcohol y drogas. El 85% de los hechos ocurre en el hogar.
