@kwttest26@aviationbrk The incident you mention was a wide body 330, the picture by the OP is not a wide body.
It aligns better with the claim of a 320
@YourCalvinist Pentecostal? I would place that vs cessationism, it would not inform me of the churches soteriology.
At least here in my country many (including some if the largest churches) are both pentecostal and hold to a Calvinist soteriology
@Protestia It's sad that such a disclaimer is necessary but I'm okay with the wording at least most of it.
The part where he invites people to skip church I really don't like.
@Pjobanion I think people like you are the ones who could benefit the most by using AI as a tool, being so knowledgeable on the source material and nuances you can edit it to perfection.
I'd encourage more people with your skills to use your capabilities in proofing the work done with AI.
@SamS29732435@eljacoboaqui@SoldTheMoon@LisaBritton It's a very interesting question that concerns me particularly, I never thought about it that way what should we as men expect.
I like your answer gratitude and admiration for using our God-given gifts for the well-being of our neighbor.
@MrEncouragement@Phil_Johnson_@TodAshby I think you don't really believe in God's sovereignty.
This conversation only reaches these extremes if you're a deist or open theist.
Belief in secondary causes working for God's plan and greater good, plus God's goodness and wisdom, is all that's required. It isn't that hard.
@MrEncouragement@Phil_Johnson_@TodAshby I solved this with a dose of reality:
Am I responsible for my actions? Yes.
Is God sovereign over all creation and working all things for good? Yes.
I don't understand how He does it, but I remain responsible for my choices, and He remains the author of my faith and salvation.

Feminists have done more in the past couple of weeks to lower overall support for women’s rights than any misogynistic men have. This will especially be true if she gets off scot-free.
If Lindsay Clancy supporters are going to make the argument that women are so hormonal that they can become mentally unstable, unable to act with agency, and unable to accept accountability, then men (and even many traditional women) are going to make the case that women should not be able to cast a vote in our elections, run corporations, work in any high-stress jobs, or become President, much less hold any elected office.
And while a few of my followers might be inclined to hold those beliefs, I personally believe in equality and I think increasing the support to restrict women from being able to do those things is bad.
Feminists and TikTok moms better think long and hard about the repercussions of their so-called “activism.”
@Tijuanasmalls1@JustinPetersMin That's why there's a big difference between Doug Wilson or James White brand of CN.
They go for gospel sharing first.
Mahler or webbon promote a platform with unbelievers & go for politics first, willing to place faithless in power and giving them airtime because of politics.
@Tijuanasmalls1@JustinPetersMin 2/2
My country as an example, El Salvador elected a president that had a socialist agenda.
He got voted in due to discontentment with the parties.
Once in power, to rule over an overwhelmingly Christian population, he rules as a Christian, even though he's not one personally.
@Tijuanasmalls1@JustinPetersMin 1/2
Yes and Phil would agree with you and me, it's just the guys he is criticizing have inverted priorities, we believe that we should preach and let the Holy Spirit and his people transform society.
They want to short circuit that process.
@Tijuanasmalls1@JustinPetersMin That's because you haven't listened to the sermon.
He is not fighting against having more righteous government, the whole point is that the role of Christians and the church is not to overthrow governments but to promote the gospel and allow the H.S. to change and regenerate
@ChristApolog01@rev_cal_moore@WesleyLHuff That could very well is what undermines your argument.
Don't get me wrong I believe that the hierarchical differentiation started very early and it could have been apostolic but we just don't have the evidence from the apostolic writings themselves that's all Wes is saying.
@marcgoodwin@TomBuck Of course I'm nowhere near being dogmatic about this I think every church has to have this discussion with its elders, in our case we only have male pastors obviously, and we do have deacons and deaconesses
@marcgoodwin@TomBuck I normally agree with Tom wholeheartedly, this just seems to be an argument from silence, it's solid but you can construct a similar argument the other way.
1 Timothy has the gap, why only mention deacons wives and not bishop wives, unless of course it refers to women deacons.
@TheMuppetPastor The issue is that the bible makes clear God is sovereign and we are not.
The bible also teaches we are moraly responsible for our decisions.
Reformed theology takes both issues seriously, others bring preconceptions of free will first and then try to adapt the bible to fit.
