Mayor @adamazim is deliberately taking his time to remove names linked to him from the corruption list, that’s why he’s refusing to publish it. He’s buying time. We can’t trust him.

I challenge Male’ City Councillors to propose a resolution establishing an independent Corruption Investigation Committee, comprising members of the public, to assess and evaluate the level of corruption and all related cases within the Male’ City Council and then forward them to ACC for proper recording.

What is happening right now is that Azim wants to edit the list, remove corruption cases related to him before publishing it and before sending any of the remaining cases to ACC. We can’t trust anything that comes out of the City Council. It has to come from an independent committee consisting of members of the public.

Male’ City Council is currently the most corrupt council in Maldives.
