I never imagined sleeping in could cost me this much.
Yesterday, I shorted calls, but this morning I couldn’t wake up on time. When I finally woke up and checked my open position, I was sitting on a significant loss.
This loss came from a lack of discipline rather than a mistake in my trade setup. Had I woken up on time, I would have exited around my planned stop-loss of ₹15–20 lakh.
But it’s okay. I made some decent profits last week, but this loss has now pushed my overall October P&L into the red.
Let’s see how the rest of the month goes. I’ll focus on gradually recovering, staying disciplined, and working towards closing October in the green. I’ll keep sharing my journey with you.
JUST IN: British man who set out to walk around the entire world in 1998 finally returns home after 28 years, covering over 31,000 miles across 29 countries without transportation.
S&P 500 is at a make-or-break level.
If we lose 7750, I’m going to 75% cash.
That’s a firm decision.
Some people will see that and think Prof is turning bearish.
I’m not. I’m being a risk manager.
Unlike most people who are magically bullish after the market goes up, then somehow magically bearish after it drops.
I put my money where my mouth is.
And most importantly- tell you what I am seeing.
One painful hell this market has been.

Exclusion from the Second Schedule means Paytm Payments Bank is no longer a scheduled bank. It loses privileges like borrowing from RBI at the bank rate. This formal step follows the April 2026 licence cancellation for non-compliance and the Delhi HC winding-up order. Deposits are safe—RBI confirmed enough liquidity for full repayment. Paytm app/UPI services remain unaffected via partner banks.
