“To the young people, once again, this country expects a lot from you. And when I say the country, I mean you. You are, in fact, waiting for yourselves. You are the future you are looking toward. But it comes back to the process I was talking about, the mindset, the spirit, and everything else I mentioned, education and health. You must have knowledge, and you must have good health. Because if you are not healthy, what use is knowledge? What good is knowing anything if you do not have the health to make use of it? You must have both. And it is entirely possible to have both, if you make the choice to pursue both. It cannot be one without the other.
It is like raising a child, or planting a tree. You plant the seed, and as it grows, you continue giving it what it needs in order to thrive. It is the same with people. You need knowledge, and you should do everything possible to acquire it. But not simply to possess it. You must be able to use that knowledge to achieve the goals you have set for yourselves.” President Kagame, Chairman of the RPF | RPF Bureau Politique.

This International Women’s Day, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and impact of women everywhere.
Progress happens when women support, uplift, and open doors for one another. Every opportunity shared, every lesson passed on, and every voice encouraged helps create space for more women to lead, grow, and succeed.
When we give support, we all gain progress.

From GOA 2023 to GOA 2025, the journey has been nothing short of transformational. This year, we produced the entire concert fully in-house, using local talent, local equipment, and local expertise. A true testament to how far we've come technically and creatively.
We're incredibly proud of the growth, and even more proud of the impact @GiantsOfAfrica continues to have on our team, our industry, and the wider community. This is more than a festival, it's a movement! #GOA2025
Today, the Rwanda Events Group team gathered at Mvuzo Genocide Memorial in Rulindo to pay tribute to the 6,746 victims of the 1994 Genocide against the Tutsi laid to rest there.
It was a moment of remembrance, reflection, and learning — while renewing our commitment, as young Rwandans and future leaders, to unity, peace, and the continued development of our country.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our partners from @Our_Past_In for standing with us.

“But”….the international media favorite word when reporting on Rwanda.
Impressive economic growth…BUT the numbers must be made up.
Unity and Reconciliation…BUT it must be coerced.
Peace and security…BUT it must all be a façade.
Over one million Tutsis killed because of who they were…BUT let’s leave room to be vague about who the victims are.
30 years after the Genocide against the Tutsi, the subtext is clear: we were not supposed to survive the unthinkable and to rebuild a nation that surpasses the standards set for “our kind.”
Dear media, this is a reminder, that no amount of twisted headlines can hide the truth of Rwanda’s resilience, the strength of the survivors and the dignity we carry in our identity. And no amount of portraying victims as perpetrators will be enough to wash off your guilt.
