Black people need to accept that we’re moving toward pure, unadulterated racism that can’t be rationalised with. They’d rather see us suffer or dead than see us simply existing, living normally. Nothing matters to them… not your grades, your experience, your work. Even with proof in front of them, they won’t believe it, because they don’t think you deserve it.

Yesterday several Black kids posted their A-Level results and suddenly it’s “DEI.” In Britain….where exams are marked blind and DEI has nothing to do with any of it. Even when you work hard, they’ll tell you that you did not.

3 gun shots, one bullet punched through my car boot into my right hand.

That hand once edit, animated, paid bills and fed my family. Overnight it became dead weight.

Career gone. Marriage cracked. Mind still bleeding daily.I sued the Nigeria Police.

Eleven years later: zero naira, zero apology, zero accountability.

An incredibly fascinating case I've spent a lot of today reading.

- Jeremiah "Jerry Boy" Useni bought a house with stolen money, as Nigerian Generals do, and without thinking too much of it, registers it in the name of a non-existent woman.
- Nearing the end of his life, he perhaps wants to give the house to Barrister Ozekhome (a SAN, I hasten to add) to settle a debt or as a gift
- As the fake woman in whose name the property is owned does not exist, Ozekhome finds an actual living man with the same name to transfer the property to him
- Court says house belongs to woman so man cannot obviously transfer it. A right old mess ensues that leads to practically every type of Nigerian identity documentation proven to be fake (so when next your Nigerian document is looked at with suspicion outside of Nigeria, it is because of people like these).
-Ozekhome's "clever" plan backfires. Court says property belongs to non-existent woman and since woman is non-existent, she cannot transfer property because, nemo dat.
- Jerry Boy is now dead. Property stuck.

As I always say, the behaviour of the Nigerian elite is truly something to behold

A family friend's UK immigration journey has been a heartbreaking saga.

They arrived with so much hope, but the wife who is the dependant suffered a severe leg burn from an Airbnb radiator, leaving her unable to work for months & impacting on their finances and the hope paying for their PSW was dashed.

Their only option since they were also unable to secure a sponsorship job, was to apply for an extension before the end of their student visa in January.

Thanks to @chymaker, I contacted him again he came through helped them to file an extension.

Building this house has been one of the toughest challenges I’ve faced so far in my property career. From envious neighbours to unreliable contractors and unpredictable suppliers, it’s feels like everything that could go wrong, has. But somehow I’m thriving!

But nothing caught me more off guard than the sudden curiosity from multiple neighbours about what I do for a living. God forbid a Black man has a bit of money to invest in his own home. At this point, I’m tempted to start telling people I’m a male stripper, just to make them uncomfortable too.

Anyway, we’re not even halfway through the project yet, and I’m already counting down the days until I can reclaim my life back. 😩

But knowing me I doubt that day will come… I’ll probably dive into a £2 million project next.

I can feel it coming. 😩

In the ongoing generational spat on Tiktok, they say Gen X is resilient.

Generalizations aside, I think it's because we have no one to cry to. So, our first reaction when we encounter a problem is to solve it.

Today, as I fixed a showerhead with a rubber band, I realized my first instinct was to act.

There are drawbacks to resilience. A loss of healthy vulnerability and interdependence.

Sometimes you need the heart of a child not a fighter.
