I’m optimistic about democracy in Minnesota despite the real threats and challenges coming from Washington, DC. Minnesota has successfully pushed back against federal overreach before, and we’ll do it again.
On Memorial Day, we honor those Americans who gave what Abraham Lincoln called “the last full measure of devotion” for our country. We owe our survival and success as a nation to their sacrifice.
Minnesota is #1 !!! 🏅
We’re the best in America, according to new rankings from the respected & non-partisan “Election Performance Index” at MIT, measuring states’ elections based on factors like polling place wait times, voter turnout, and post-election audits.
🚨@MNSteveSimon, Minnesota Secretary of State, speaks on high voter turnout in Minnesota: “I think it boils down to two main things — good laws and a good pro-voter culture in Minnesota. As for the laws, we’re all looking for the same thing, which is the perfect balance between access and security.”
The President’s latest executive order on elections is an unconstitutional power grab that will end up like the rest: It will not stand. Only states and Congress may regulate federal elections, not a President waiving a magic wand in the Oval Office.
Springsteen is cool, but @MNSteveSimon spent the day in Duluth with an equally raucous No Kings crowd. Resistance exists everywhere, especially in Greater MN!
Excuse me? So the state where they don’t need to register gets exempted?

This is the most dangerous kind of “cancel culture” for any democracy. The Chair of the FCC is publicly suggesting he might revoke broadcast licenses for “legacy media” outlets whose news coverage he (or the President) doesn’t like. A real threat to free speech.
We are proud to endorse @MNSteveSimon for Secretary of State. Minnesota has some of the highest voter participation in the country and Secretary Simon is a big reason why. He works to make sure every eligible voter has the opportunity to easily cast their vote. #Labor2026
Remember when I said we’re going everywhere? Six conventions this weekend from Coon Rapids to Inver Grove Heights. Voters are fired up about democracy! 🗳️
Idaho — a deeply Republican state — has become the latest to refuse the Trump Justice Department’s demand for unredacted statewide voter rolls. https://t.co/1R7k7DOaxW
