*Overnight* At around 4:45am Denton FD was dispatched to a structure fire on Redstone Road. Medic 4 arrived to find fire showing from the roof from a house. Fire is now under control.

Shooting Investigation

On 01/19/2024, just after 6:30 PM, Garland Officers responded to an apartment in the 3500 block of Easton Meadows Drive in regards to a Disturbance with a Weapon.

Officers arrived on the scene and located two individuals inside the apartment who appeared to be suffering from gunshot wounds. The victims were transported to nearby hospitals by ambulance. One victim remains hospitalized, and the other victim passed away from the injuries sustained in the shooting.

The Initial investigation indicates that the suspect(s) were known to the victim, however, detectives are currently working to identify and locate those responsible.

This is an ongoing investigation.

Anyone with information regarding this investigation is encouraged to call the Garland Police Department at 972-485-4840 or 9-1-1.

Tips may be submitted anonymously to Garland Crime Stoppers at 972-272-TIPS (8477) or https://t.co/35gyXDOQQU. A reward of up to $5000 is being offered for any information that leads to an arrest.

Hot Pursuit #2 (Watauga) Watauga PD was pursuing a black Ford Mustang but the pursuing officer lost visual. Last seen northbound on N. Riverside Drive from Western Center area. Suspect driver has been identified though, pursuit terminated.
