The Fed is poised to hike rates soon.

The Fed Funds futures market prices a rising path from 3.63% today to a peak near 4.17% in May 2027.

That looks like a new hiking cycle.

The Jan 2027 contract sits 41.5bp above the effective rate, nearly 2 hikes implied by year-end.

If the Fed follows market expectations, this repricing creates headwinds for risk assets, especially the high-beta names
