SpeakOut News has repeatedly exposed illegal flex banners/hoardings in @mybmcWardT T Ward . by — on 2 Mar, 4 Mar, 6 Mar, 7 Apr, 10 Apr, 20 Apr, 8 Sep & 2 Oct 2026.

Yet the usual excuse from T Ward? “Insufficient staff.”

Now Mumbai Mayor Ritu Tawde Madam has written to BMC Commissioner Ashwini Bhide Madam, calling for a citywide campaign against illegal flexes and a cleaner, more beautiful Mumbai.

So the question is simple:

Yogita Madam, will T Ward finally act on these illegal banners — or will the Mayor also be given the same “staff shortage” excuse?

Rules exist. Complaints exist. The Mayor has spoken.

Now it is time for action.

Speakout News I MULUND: DRAINAGE LINE TURNED INTO A FOUNDATION for SRA Project.
A shocking concern has surfaced from Sita Nagar, Mulund West, where a metal girder appears to have been fixed directly into a roadside drainage line at a redevelopment site.
The complaint submitted to SRA and T ward alleges that such installation could obstruct sewage flow, choke the drain and lead to stagnant/overflowing dirty water—raising serious public health & safety concerns.

Who permitted this? Was the drainage impact assessed? Has SRA inspected the spot?
BMC/SRA must conduct an immediate site inspection and clarify whether this installation is legal and technically permissible.
Public infrastructure cannot be compromised in the name of redevelopment.

Hundreds of banner all over mulund can be seen.
Majority of that are of Builders/ devlopers.
As per sources, fixed amounts are allegedly being collected to ensure that these banners are not removed and no legal action is taken against them.

MULUND: SPEED BREAKERS OR ACCIDENT TRAPS?
New speed breakers are being installed across Mulund by BMC T Ward—including the newly constructed one near Agrawal Hostel.
But a serious safety question remains: Where are the proper white road markings and retro-reflective road studs (cat’s eyes)?
At night, these newly built speed breakers can become extremely difficult to spot, especially for two-wheelers and motorists unfamiliar with the location.
A speed breaker is meant to prevent accidents—not create a new accident risk.
Several Mulundkar citizens are raising concerns about poor night-time visibility.
👉 T Ward Maintenance Department must urgently inspect all newly installed speed breakers and ensure proper reflective markings/studs wherever required.
Before a serious accident happens, will BMC T Ward act?

After our Notice to #Mulund #License dept. regarding "#Illegal #Political #Banners #Hoardings & #Posters from Public Spaces & in clear #Violation of Hon'ble #HighCourt ", we filed #RTI for action taken by dept.

They have standard reply 'we have only 1 person for removal & engaged in #Election duty's.

Madam @AshwiniBhide we have given list of 8-10 Illegal Banners, the dept. took out 8-10 banners whereas 100 plus banners were ignored all over Mulund by License dept.

We hope Hon'ble High Court will held them in Contempt of Court

#SupremeCourt says #Residential properties cannot be used as #Commercial establishments, but in Munshi Estate 50% residential units are used as #Hospitals #Clinics #Medical facilities, Coaching Classes, #Banks without change of User or any permission from #BMC

But still #Mulund #T ward officials are protecting them & even Complaints to Asst.Comm. T ward, #DMC ZVI & even Addl.Comm. Mr. Dhakne are Neglected for reasons best known to them @AshwiniBhide

After our Complaint to #MC @AshwiniBhide regarding "Illegal Conversion of #Residential Areas into #Commercial #Shops , Addition, Alterations & Amalmagation without any permission from #BMC by Munshi Estate", finally #Mulund #T ward officials 'Wake-Up' & send letter to #Building Proposal dept. for Approved Plans of Munshi Estate.

Madam pls inquire :
1. How residential flat was converted into #Bank ?
2. Residential flats facing M.G. Road are converted in to Commercial Activities
3. A small 'Gulli' has been converted into Commercial Shop
4. Shops with area of 180 sq.ft have been converted into 300 sq.ft.

Many more #Violations which needs immediate #Investigation

As per #maharashtra govt. Notification dated 11-09-2026,
"under section 10(1) of Servant Regulation of #Transfer & Delay in Discharge of Official Duties Act, 2005, every govt. Servant is bound to discharge official duties assigned to him/her with utmost diligence, in event of failure to take action within prescribed time limit, #Disciplinary action can be taken as per Section 10(2) of said act".

If rehabilitation is needed, why not use *BMC Market/PAP spaces?*

विषय गंभीर, अधिकारी खंबीर की पदाचा गैरवापर?

#वर्तक_नगर_प्रभाग_समिती, ठाणे महानगरपालिका येथील सहाय्यक आयुक्त मा. #गणेश_चौधरी यांच्या कथित वर्तनाबाबत गंभीर प्रश्न निर्माण झाले आहेत.

तक्रारीसंदर्भात पत्रकाराने संवाद साधला असता “मी कारवाई करणार नाही, तुम्ही Caveat दाखल करून घ्या” असे सांगणे हे एखाद्या जबाबदार प्रशासकीय अधिकाऱ्याला शोभणारे आहे का?

दि. 24/03/2026 रोजी तत्कालीन #उपायुक्त मा. #उमेश_बिरारी यांनी संबंधित तक्रार कार्यालयात प्राप्त झाल्याचे नमूद करून, तक्रारीच्या अनुषंगाने योग्य ती कारवाई करून संबंधित तक्रारदारास कळवावी व त्याच्या समक्ष कारवाई करावी, असे निर्देश दिले होते. मग त्यानंतरही प्रत्यक्ष कारवाई का होत नाही?

Caveat दाखल करण्याची जबाबदारी तक्रारदारावर ढकलणे हा प्रशासनाचा मार्ग आहे का? महाराष्ट्रातील स्थानिक स्वराज्य संस्थांच्या प्रशासकीय कार्यपद्धतीनुसार अधिकारी यांनी प्राप्त तक्रारीची नोंद घेऊन, प्रत्यक्ष पाहणी/तपासणी करून कायद्यानुसार योग्य निर्णय घेणे अपेक्षित आहे.

अनधिकृत बांधकाम आढळल्यास MRTP Act, 1966 मधील कलम 52 ते 55 व लागू तरतुदींनुसार कारवाई करणे आवश्यक आहे. तसेच ठाणे महानगरपालिकेच्या लागू बांधकाम/अतिक्रमण नियमांनुसार स्थळपाहणी, कागदपत्रांची पडताळणी, आवश्यक नोटीस/स्टॉप-वर्क प्रक्रिया आणि कायद्यानुसार पुढील कारवाई होणे अपेक्षित आहे.

विशेषतः Bliss Boutique Hotel & Lodging संदर्भातील तक्रारीवर यापूर्वीही कारवाई झाल्याचे सांगितले जाते. त्यामुळे आता निष्पक्ष स्थळपाहणी करून प्रत्यक्ष आणि कायदेशीर कारवाई झाली का? हा जनतेचा प्रश्न आहे.

अधिक गंभीर बाब म्हणजे संबंधित अधिकाऱ्यांच्या वर्तनामुळे असा प्रश्न निर्माण होतो की, एखाद्या संबंधित व्यक्तीवर किंवा व्यावसायिकावर कोणताही प्रशासकीय दबाव, प्रभाव किंवा हितसंबंध आहे का? कोणतेही आर्थिक अथवा वैयक्तिक संबंध असल्याचा दावा येथे केला जात नाही; मात्र पारदर्शक चौकशी होणे आवश्यक आहे.

पत्रकाराशीच जर अशा पद्धतीने संवाद साधला जात असेल, तर सामान्य नागरिक, तक्रारदार आणि ज्येष्ठ नागरिकांशी प्रशासनाचा व्यवहार कसा होत असेल?

ठाणे महानगरपालिका आयुक्त मा. श्री. #सौरभ_राव यांनी या संपूर्ण प्रकरणाची निष्पक्ष चौकशी करून, दोष आढळल्यास संबंधित अधिकाऱ्यावर महाराष्ट्र नागरी सेवा (वर्तणूक) नियम व लागू शिस्तभंग नियमांनुसार कठोर प्रशासकीय कारवाई करावी. निलंबनासारखी कारवाई आवश्यक आहे का, हे चौकशीनंतर कायद्यानुसार ठरवावे.

तक्रारीवर फक्त कागदोपत्री किंवा नावापुरती कारवाई नको — प्रत्यक्ष स्थळपाहणी, कायदेशीर तपासणी आणि निष्पक्ष कारवाई हवी!

व्हिडिओमध्ये संबंधित अधिकाऱ्यांचा तक्रारदार/पत्रकाराशी संवाद स्पष्टपणे उपलब्ध आहे. आता प्रशासनानेच सांगावे - नियम सर्वांसाठी समान आहेत की नाही?

अधिकाऱ्यांना कारवाई न करण्याचा अधिकार कोणी दिला? काही दबाव/हितसंबंध आहेत का? याची निष्पक्ष चौकशी व्हावी.
