FYI, while neftegna were majority Amhara, there were several Tigray, Oromo and Gurage neftegna as well. Neftegna imperialism has failed and its leftovers will continue to be dismantled.

Neftegna is not exclusive to one ethnic group but a feudalistic system of subjugation. There were few Tegaru Dejazmaches in the south, even Ras Mengesha, a Tigray nobleman, has ruled Sidamo for years. As there were also from other different ethnic groups including some Oromos.
