Imo not the move to make about the cradle XP
if you're going to impact cradle XP gains by 25% you should apply this retroactively scaled to everyones accounts, bringing the max levelled players etc to where they would be on the new xp system
just doing an implementation like this creates more "rich get richer" system
@MarathonDevTeam Don't change the cert drops this is another gear loop farm it's not that broken and it's good for the game to have options. Especially something that solo players can do because you guys have not balanced the game in any way for solos
I have hardly any golds to my name and I’m level 50. Anyone acting like the Marathon progression has ruined the season is tripping. It’s always the people who have legit not even played yet 😭😭😭
there are purple shield stacks, but most people are free kits/green shields. If you’re worried about it, play the PvE mode, it’s free loot.
twitter is so dramatic. I can’t. 😹
I bet $500,000 on Polymarket that Microstrategy sold Bitcoin in May.
Evidence came out while the market was open. Legally confirmed. Then Polymarket changed the rules, and refused to pay.
Last chance to do the right thing @shayne_coplan. Where's my fucking money?
Doing this at the start of the weekend is so mean. I was gonna grind all weekend to catch up but now it's nerfed?! While the people who already maxed the cradle get to keep it? That is not fair at all. Rather have everyone rest everyone's cradle to one std lower then the avg.
We've been made aware of an issue on the PlayStation store where players could purchase the Deluxe Edition of Marathon at a mitigated price if they added Marathon to their library during the Open Play Week. Purchasing the Deluxe Edition this way does not include the base game, and we've updated the PlayStation Store messaging to clarify.
For those of you that made this purchase before the messaging was posted on the store page, we'll be granting you the base edition of Marathon at no additional cost. This is in addition to the Deluxe Edition content. More info on timing will come soon.
Going forward, please note that if you've downloaded Marathon during the Open Play Week but have not purchased Marathon, purchasing the Deluxe Edition upgrade will only grant you access to the Deluxe Edition content for the duration of the Open Play Week, after which accessing this content will require purchase of the Marathon base edition. The price of the Deluxe Edition upgrade on the PlayStation Store reflects only the Deluxe Edition content add-ons, not the base edition price.
@chi_is_a_mess You know what's not cool the key template change I got a blue key and I have to use my finisher on 4 people to make it into a key . That's never happening for average player maybe 4 kills but not execution
Yeah being honest, not being able to play first week may just turn in to not playing at all in S2 because how can I realistically compete and have a good time if people already have full vaults with high end loot.
I'm really enjoying Marathon Season 2 so far. the cradle & faction upgrade changes are excellent, and night marsh is way more fun than I expected.
However the economy feels really inflated with all of the premium free kits, and the menu seems to default to perimeter solo trios.
@Turtle_Proxy@Geezaws2 This community is spending money to just support the game also because they know it's struggling met many people day they bought skins just to support it.
How is rengar bug still not fixed? and this champ is allowed to be picked in ranked? @drewlevin
Game ID: 7869003958
Could i pls get my LP back for playing vs URF rengar?
Marathon is going free-to-play for one week from June 2–9 alongside the launch of Season 2: Nightfall.
Players on will be able to play the full game for free during the event, with progress carrying over if they decide to buy it later.
The update also adds:
- A new Night Marsh zone
- PvE-focused modes
- Matchmaking improvements
- Vault/system updates
A lot of people are seeing this as Bungie trying to bring players back after the game has been losing most of its players and declining interest since launch.
Offering a full free week will surely get them some players, but idk man, I feel like the game is done.
