Do you guys do any substantive work on why it is bad to legalize housing construction and speed permitting for electricity transmission and so on?
Or is it all just “donors bad” ?
@conorsen Seems very plausible that the phones made coupling slower and rarer, which was less relevant for 35-39.
And/or their pre-phone fertility was going upward and phones decelerated it.

@HalSinger Isn’t it straightforwardly true that adding an emphasis on e.g. author employment options is necessarily *not* an emphasis on consumer prices? Authors are not consumers.
“We care only about X” means more emphasis on X.
While “we care about x and y” means less emphasis on X.
