A team of @Penn students, headed by Michael Weisberg, Chair of Philosophy and Co-Director of the Galápagos Education and Research Alliance, went to the Galápagos Islands to work on their respective science projects this summer. https://t.co/Bp9fHGb9yv @weisbergm@Pennalumni
PWH's @weisbergm & a team of @Penn students spent time in the Galápagos this summer w/ @GalapagosERA, a community science & education initiative. As part of one project, they taught local children to dive, so they can study how human settlements affect the marine environment 🌊
"TODAY we talked with @weisbergm from @UPennPhilosophy and @VillanovaU's Deena Skolnick Weisberg about conservancy education plans @GalapagosERA currently implemented in the 🐢🦈 Galapagos Islands for the social ecology consciousness. GO YOUTH. GALAPAGOS GUARDIANS!" @ivonnebaki
