@RodneyStallion Relatable, I've caught flack from both the straights and gays for being bi almost as if I'm lesser of a person that "won't commit to a side". Seemed to stem from insecurities these ppl that gave me crap had or misunderstanding.
Gonna be blunt on this one.
Part of the reason I've never attended any Pride event is because of the cancellation of bisexuals. I have experienced this from gay friends, straight friends, and everyone in-between. One of my former boyfriends told me once "just be gay and stop pretending to be straight".
Bisexuality doesn't work like that. And the fact that I can't be accepted completely in queer spaces or straight spots is...eye-opening.
It's not right. Queer folk of all backgrounds should be united. Maybe one day. Maybe in my lifetime. But it hasn't happened yet and because of that, I'll gladly wave that little vaporwave flag and love who I am without help.
