My goodness. Seeing all the support and good vibes through Twitter is giving my heart a little pump tonight. I posted my story back in 2017 after my (final) rock bottom and met such a lovely bunch of people offering support. Seeing that grow within this community is so wonderful.

No kids or partner or borrowing from family. Number one for me was getting independent support, then I could focus on the debt. (1/2)

@Lifeafterbettin The guilt will feel overwhelming at times and you feel like you will never get out of it. It may even make you ask yourself if it’s even worth it but remember: that’s the addiction talking. Keep in a positive mindset, baby steps.

@Lifeafterbettin Take one thing at a time. You’ve made the right first step which is choosing recovery. Priority number 1 is not betting. 2 is getting finances in order. 3 is rebuilding trust and moving on with you life.

A topic that I've been thinking about a lot and keen to hear your thoughts: Should problem gamblers be refunded by online providers that the Gambling Commission has fined for breaching social responsibility rules?
