Many thanks to our friends at @InstallBaseF we've archived the 2023 Famitsu Top 1000, featuring hundreds of updates of PS4, PS5 and Switch games.
This will be the last of these for a while, but we've caught up after some 10 years.

Just recently the Gnosia and Needy Girl Overdose animes both turned great.
Here's a funny story: I went on a take to watch the 4th Resident Evil movie, and found it so boring I feel asleep 30 minutes in.
Needless to say, there wasn't a second date.
I do have a soft spot for P.W. Anderson's first couple RE movies and the first Silent Hill, but I wouldn't call either of them good.
Calling this the first good videogame adaptation is not quite true though, as many VNs have turned into great animes, though that's cheating a bit
On November 12th, there's a Choose your own game type Switch 2 bundle releasing in Japan with Mario Kart, Switch Sports and Tomodachi Life as options.
64k yen, a pretty good discount for either Switch 2 game.
Also releasing a week after Zelda, which also has a special edition
Best selling games of the year so far, October update.
Fire Emblem and Onimusha join at the tail of this list. Rhythm Heaven should surpass Pokopia by the end of October.
The top 2 selling games in Japan for 2026 will be Switch 1 games.
Silent Hill: Townfall had a (very expected) drop from the launch of Silent Hill f and the Silent Hill 2 remake.
Nonetheless, it's 13k launch still puts it above all other SH games until Origins, and it should be higher than it including digital sales.
Retail launch sales of Silent Hill f in Japan are the third highest of the series, only below the first couple of games.
Most likely the series biggest launch with digital.
About twice as much as last year's Silent Hill 2 remake, which already outsold.
Let's follow this up.
The remake of the second game had a slightly bigger launch at 45k. The Switch 1 version is digital only, so a launch of +100k is possible.
Comparing retail sales of the Trails in the Sky remake with other games of the series with the past 10 years.
Even the remake of a beloved game and Switch version couldn't stop the further decline of the series.
Three Houses and Engage were both voucher games (Three Houses among the first) and also saw good digital sales, I'd guess all three games had a similar +200k launch.
Comparing retail launch of Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave with the rest of the series.
It's the weakest launch in 20 years, with a 10% drop from both Engage and Three Houses.
Digital should put it over 200k.
Not a bad launch, but was expecting more after the great reviews.
From Nintendo's financials we've seen that their games are selling around 40% digital, as Fire Emblem is a very expensive game (10k yen at retail) it may have a higher digital share than average.
