In the first 31 years of the English Premier League, combined club revenues were £71 billion - but who earned what?

Stoke City lost a further £26 million last season, as they finished 17th in the EFL Championship
Ignoring a £120 million owner loan write-off in 2022, it is #SCFC's seventh consecutive eight-figure loss. In six Championship seasons since relegation, Stoke have lost £201 million

@CFC_Nandos 2018 is less uniform but they generally all dipped in 2017. Common denominator there is first year of massive new broadcast deal. Tbh pre-Covid EPL clubs were generally profitable...then that hit and wages kept zooming up while revenue didn't
🚨 𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗙𝗜𝗚𝗨𝗥𝗘𝗦 - 𝗔𝗥𝗦𝗘𝗡𝗔𝗟 🚨
@Arsenal enjoyed an enormous increase in revenue last season, with income leaping £150m (32%) to £616m, by some way a new club record
After a Covid-induced dip, #Arsenal income is now third-highest in England
🚨𝗡𝗘𝗪 𝗙𝗜𝗚𝗨𝗥𝗘𝗦 - 𝗧𝗢𝗧𝗧𝗘𝗡𝗛𝗔𝗠 𝗛𝗢𝗧𝗦𝗣𝗨𝗥🚨
#THFC saw revenue dip in 2023/24, primarily due to competing in Europe for first time in 14 years. Spurs' income was down to £529m, a £21m (4%) decrease
Decrease means Spurs sit fifth in EPL revenue table (2023: 4th)
Spurs long been EPL club with best wage control, and 2023/24 was little different, with their wages to turnover falling to just 42% - a figure no other club comes close to
Stark contrast to Aston Villa (96%), who finished one spot ahead of #THFC last season to qualify for UCL
#THFC generally low wage-payers, and underwent significant £29m (12%) cut to £222m in 2023/24. Wage drop driven by departures of Harrys Kane and Winks and Davinson Sánchez in the summer, followed by Hugo Lloris in January
Spurs finished 5th with EPL 7th-highest wage bill
@woods_pwoods@Wanalyst007@Arsenal Around then, was Feb 26th last year so possibly a tad earlier than March
And yes, all heading in right direction. Quite surprised at level of growth in 24 too

#NUFC turnover soared over £300m for the first time last season, as UCL football and improved commercial revenues equalled a £69m (28%) increase in income
#NUFC turnover has increased £180m (128%) since 2021 takeover
