A regular basketball player using @Gameonactive to ball told me today that he stopped playing at 16, started again 2 yrs ago, he is now 55.

He thanked me for building the app so he can play regularly again. "Its like reconnecting with your long lost first girlfriend and realise you still like her".

This is not gonna get VCs investing but its important to be reminded of our purpose every now and then - to help people reconnect with the sports they love playing and find their community again.

Got some feedback over the weekend for @Gameonactive Connect v2 that the artwork is great but dominates the screen a little too much.

So tried out some less busy artwork, and wrapped the event / court image with rounded padding for a little visual separation, and yeah, looks a little better I think.

Next up gonna wrap each part of the event's details (middle column) in card widgets, to help add a little more visual separation, and also gonna try out some artwork for dark theme.

Best way to find out what looks good is to ship!

Designing a brand new Event screen for the new @Gameonactive Connect mobile app with @GeraldAsante01

Event details are now displayed in fully separate section of the screen so its easier to read. Most action buttons are also now displayed directly instead of being hidden under a hamburger menu in the app bar. We will also introduce the ability to follow a venue or organiser.

The chat tab needs to be a bit snazzier and we are on it.

The app will also be available on web this time, so we are cooking up some responsive designs next.
