Meet Mustang GameStop!
✌️Chris is our store manager. Doesn't really do much. He can't even be bothered to run, or look at, this account LOL
🫥 Jade, our assistant manager, hasn't come back from PTO for 3 years. Well, PTO and family stuff and I think something with the US gov?
Mustang GameStop is currently engineering a method by which we can use Alex's time bubble to mass-transport people to 2007 to seek refuge from the oncoming government collapse.
Until this is completed, please know your rights and don't trust any one news source alone.
This is a callout post for Gregory Halls.
Mr. Halls, you preordered a Wii in 2007 and it's been in the stockroom ever since.
The last GA who tried to sell it to someone else was driven to madness by the preorder gods for her hubris.
Greg, my dude, you gotta pick this thing up
@TayoMurph@GameStop The POS had issues at every store I worked at (5 locations).
Also, note the hotkeys. On many menus, mouse inputs didn't work.
I remember when the stocks blew up. The walls in one of my stores were rotting and stunk. Floors peeling up. Registers dying.
That's your investment!
@TayoMurph@GameStop Literally in a constant state of disrepair. When the GPU failed on that register, the other 2 had dying hard drives. Closing the registers manually advances the business date and if you reopen on the same day you have to call IT to roll it back. This is what you've invested in
Craig is out sick this week due to burnout. Hiring him was NOT an invitation to deface the display cases, but some of you HEATHENS decided that overworking his poor tiny body was the correct response to his employment here. None of you get good new game cases until he's better.
@S_T_G_N@Microsoft Also, of course I learned to do this. I have to listen to demo console music, ad reels, and Craig the cover art elf, every single shift. There is no such thing as peace for these jaded ears.
@S_T_G_N@Microsoft Sorry for replying 3 days late, I am just genuinely in awe that you somehow figured out how to operate Spotify badly enough that you can't simply stop playing the music that isn't relevant to you and let it exist on the platform for others who enjoy it
@S_T_G_N@Microsoft Shoot, you're right. I forgot about that time I started listening to multiple genres of music and immediately forgot how to distinguish between rock genres. My bad.
@S_T_G_N@Microsoft 1) There's nothing here saying that AI data/patterns won't be specialized by your location, the same way targeted ads are determined (in part). Having more data for more global environments does not delete local data for your environment
2) AI is evil and killed my dad
@griptrician@GameStop Sacrifice your defective controllers to the great wizard Retech and he will manifest your digital games as physical media.
Just don't offer them to Ipos, evil wizard and father to Retech. Ipos will turn them into broken PS2 memory cards. (I made that mistake once.)
Me when the customers try to flirt and I'm worried I will become one of the women of GameStop who have to work inconsistent schedules to avoid stalkers
There's a point to be made here about how Smash has to somehow bring all of the content from each franchise into line with a common aesthetic, and sacrifices have to be made for the sake of cohesive visuals
But also, it's OK to stylize in a way that doesn't prioritize realism
Maybe I don't want Donkey Kong to have uncomfortably accurate ape fur, if it means that he looks a little less jarring next to Steve from Minecraft.
I think I care more about a game looking nice than looking real.
And, hey, maybe that's why I play older games.
