Our book chapter on anal fissures just got published in the 2nd Ed of Difficult Decisions in Colorectal Surgery.. a very common and painful problem. Thankful to be invited to be a part of this textbook! @NitinMi59125565
Congrats N Hyman and K Umanskiy for this 🌶️ & forward thinking new edition! Will fuel many journal clubs & live debates! Highlights the diversity of current & future thought leaders ! Well done! @ASCRS_1 @SAGES_Updates https://t.co/nCBadAGRGY
Had an amazing time learning how to apply for a job, reuniting with mentors, meeting giants in the field, and hanging out face to face with my co-fellows at the annual colorectal surgery career course. Thank you to all the speakers and organizers! 🤩 #onlyfellows#unhinged
New @JAMASurgery study analyzes over a million patients who underwent surgery between 2007-2019 & found that those treated by a female surgeon were less likely to die, get readmitted, or suffer a major complication within one year. https://t.co/1s5WIihRXE

@Toddinoz Thank you! This journey can be mentally, physically + emotionally exhausting. I always appreciated that in those low moments when I didn’t think I could keep pushing longer + I was having imposter syndrome, my support system reminded me that I could do it and that I belonged here
@Medisto19 I was also an IMG from a relatively new Caribbean medical school. Keep working hard and striving for excellence and the rest will follow! Glad I was able to encourage you in your journey. Good luck!
7. I am so very grateful to have made it to this point and to this specific residency program with this incredible group of attendings, co-residents and hospital staff. If I can do it, you can do it too 💪🏼
6. A little over 10 years ago, I was receiving rejection letter after rejection letter from medical schools, about to give up hope of being able to fulfill my dream of becoming a doctor
