🚨🇷🇼DOES RWANDA USE ITS BEAUTY PAGEANTS TO SPY IN THE NAME OF #VISITRWANDA?
Ugandan music star @BebeCoolUG has publicly alleged that former Miss Rwanda 2016, @JollyMutesi approached him "in the name of Rwanda" and claims he possesses evidence that he intends to release.
His allegations revive broader questions about how Rwanda projects its image internationally through #VisitRwanda, football partnerships, influencers, and beauty queens. How far is Rwanda prepared to go in managing and promoting that image?
These questions become even more relevant when one recalls the Miss Rwanda scandal, where allegations of sexual exploitation and abuse ultimately led to the suspension of the competition. At the same time, concerns about the trafficking and exploitation of young women continue to surface in public debate.
Beyond the branding and international publicity, a fundamental question remains: how are women truly treated in Rwanda, and what role do they play in maintaining the image the country presents to the world?

As a Rwandan exhausted by decades of repression, political killings, fear, and the silencing of dissent under @PaulKagame's regime, I stand in solidarity with the people of the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
No African nation should have to endure war, instability, and suffering driven by the interests of those seeking power, influence, and access to its resources. The #Congolese people deserve peace, sovereignty, and the right to determine their own future without foreign interference.
At the same time, as an #African, I celebrate the spirit of unity that sports can bring. When it comes to the World Cup, I'm proudly supporting the #Leopards🐆 of DR Congo and wishing them success on the global stage.
Solidarity with the Congolese people. Justice for victims of conflict. Freedom for all who dare to speak out.

Rwanda's Prime Minister @Dr_JNsengiyumva says wages should only rise after productivity increases. But how do workers increase productivity when many survive on less than $70 a month?
This is the @PaulKagame model: wealth concentrated at the top, poverty concentrated at the bottom, and a disappearing middle class. The richest get richer while ordinary Rwandans are told to "work harder" for crumbs.
How does a worker earning under $70/month pay rent, food, transport, school fees, healthcare, and basic necessities?
Economic research shows fair wages can increase productivity, boost local businesses, and grow the economy. Yet the regime keeps defending poverty wages while celebrating luxury projects and billion-dollar investments.
Rwanda's economy functions in a system where political and economic power are heavily concentrated around a small ruling elite from @rpfinkotanyi , limiting competition and workers' bargaining power.
A country cannot develop by keeping its workers poor. Poverty is not an economic strategy. It's a political choice.

The day will come, when President Kagame will face justice for the atrocities and evils he has unleashed across the Great Lakes…., especially the horrific suffering, displacement, and death inflicted on the people of DRcongo
