Momentum is real & powerful.
The line I always tell myself is “When it rains, it pours”
I've taken enough beatings to find a strange freedom in knowing more is coming.
Accept the blows and persevere.
But let me tell you, when momentum is on my side, I am a scary storm.
@thejustinwelsh Doing nothing isn’t actually possible, imo
What you mean is: letting nothing distract you, and letting your mind and creativity wander without an agenda.
Western European companies spend $9B/yr paying offshore teams to chase unpaid invoices.
Someone outside your company, zero context, chasing your customers for money.
Surprised it's still a problem?
We purposely demo our product as less impressive than it is.
Full autonomy is one setting away, but we default it off - you have to ask for it.
We treat that as something earned with each customer rather than assumed on day one.
It demos worse. The customers who've run both tend to agree it's the right call.

One big cultural difference between the US and Europe is how people view name-dropping.
Name dropping in US shows credibility and almost friendliness, like you are easy to be approached or be friends with.
In Europe, name dropping reduces your cred & mostly seen as insecure.
As an international kid, I am ok with name dropping but with a few rules:
1. One person only
2. Clear relevance to the convo
3. Full name
@Bouazizalex@FIav0r At Spinal, we built an AI agent for Accounts receivable - our agent's sole purpose is to collect unpaid invoices.
1 person can handle 100% of all unpaid invoices in a company (https://t.co/7Ju9hU2jjf)

@SahilBloom Observing my inner circle at age 32:
Every single friend in a job that drains them has burnt out.
Every friend in a job that energizes them is hitting a second gear.
