@AnnRoselynnn Probably depends on where you are. For example, in the US access restrictions are more likely; in Germany or the UK it should be possible to just go into a lecture hall and listen even if the lectures are not public. Whatever the legal situation is, it’s probably not enforced.
@Noahpinion They use and stoke existing resentments to distract people from the actual reason for their discontent. Isn’t that a tried and tested strategy?
The fact is that Jewish people constituted around 90% of all those murdered at Auschwitz.
Among the roughly 400,000 people registered as prisoners, about half were Jews and half were non-Jews.
The largest non-Jewish group were Poles, most of whom came from a Roman Catholic background. There were also Roma and Sinti, Soviet POWs, and prisoners of many other nationalities. So it would be more accurate to say that about half of the registered prisoners were non-Jewish, rather than simply describing all of them as Christians.
The picture changes completely when we look at everyone deported to Auschwitz. Of at least 1.3 million deportees, about 1.1 million were Jews. Most Jews selected for immediate murder were never registered as prisoners at all.
That is why Jews constituted about half of the registered prisoner population, but around 90% of all those murdered at Auschwitz.
@ShouraHashemi Das passt nur dann, wenn man annimmt, dass die Adressaten dieser Botschaften an die Klimakrise glauben oder deswegen besorgt wären, was wahrscheinlich grötenteils nicht zutrifft.
I do strangulation exams as part of my job. I have taken extensive training in strangulation and am qualified to testify as an expert in strangulation cases. The general public has no idea how bad this epidemic has become, how many women and girls this is happening to, or how dangerous this is.
I share facts about it sometimes like men who strangle women are twice as likely to be involved in a mass shooting or to kill a cop. Women who are strangled by their partners are 750% more likely to be killed by that partner.
I tell people that death by strangulation can occur in just minutes, under a minute if you hit the right nerve bundles that lead to certain arrhythmias. I also tell them that a woman can die from a strangulation event up to one year after the event and that a pregnant woman who has been strangled is at high risk of pregnancy loss for weeks after the strangulation event. Strangulation can lead to brain damage, physical disability, stroke, pregnancy loss, and death.
I tell people that there is no safe way to strangle and that nobody has the ability to consent to being murdered, and consent is not an excuse for murder, if someone were to consent to this it is incumbent on the would be murderer to use self discipline and restraint, because a person’s “consent” to being murdered is not going to be recognized by any court as a legitimate excuse. Nobody can consent to being killed.
When I tell people these things, a very few are appreciative, mostly women, some are interested, men and women, and some attack me for being stupid and not knowing what I am talking about, apparently days of professional training and hundreds of exams performed mean nothing to the “experts” of X. Those that attack are mostly men. Some argue with me about dumb things, like my insistence to call strangulation what it is. Strangulation is not choking, choking is not strangulation, these are two different types of ways to block an airway but they are not the same. That is what people argue with me about the most. They insist on using incorrect language and then provide me with a weak google link picture of a choke hold to try to prove it’s the same.
So then it becomes me explaining that a choke hold is called a chokehold but it is not choking it is strangulation and that blows their minds and I am met with silence or swears.
This is an incredibly important issue that needs to be discussed but it is very contentious and the defenders of strangulation can turn into rabid dogs very quickly.
Anyway, I just wanted to tell you that I really appreciate the effort you are taking here, that you are raising awareness and that you are using accurate language and data. It’s really important that we change the narrative around this subject.
I would like to share this resource with you, I’m not sure if you are aware of them or not, but this was the group that did my training on strangulation. They go all over the US teaching medical professionals and law enforcement about strangulation and they have a ton of information and resources on their website. You might find them useful.
Thank you for talking about this.

In Holocaust denial arguments, the existence of an "infirmary maternity ward," midwife registries, and officially recorded births is frequently used to falsely portray Auschwitz as a humane institution with dedicated medical facilities to preserve life. However, historical and archival evidence from the camp completely exposes this manipulation by revealing the selective survival policies, systematic infanticide, and catastrophic mortality rates that defined camp births.

At least 700 children were born in Auschwitz-Birkenau, including several hundred in the Roma family camp. Their fate depended heavily on the period, their origin and SS racial policy.
It is also important to remember that most pregnant Jewish women deported to Auschwitz never became registered prisoners at all. As a rule, visibly pregnant women were classified during the selection on arrival as unfit for labor and were sent directly to the gas chambers together with children, elderly people and others whom the SS did not select for work.
In the earlier years of the women’s camp, pregnancy could mean a death sentence. Pregnant women were often selected for murder, and newborn babies were killed after birth. From 1943, some non-Jewish infants were allowed to remain alive and were formally registered as prisoners. Jewish newborns were murdered under SS policy until the final phase of the camp.
Registration did not mean protection. Babies who were allowed to live faced catastrophic conditions: hunger, cold, disease, overcrowding and an almost complete lack of proper food or medical care. Most died within a very short time. Only a small number of children born in the camp survived until liberation.
The so-called maternity ward was not a modern medical facility. It was a primitive section of a prisoner hospital barrack, with almost no supplies. Prisoner midwives such as Stanisława Leszczyńska tried to help mothers under extraordinarily difficult conditions, often without medicines, clean water or basic sanitary materials.

Photographs of the greenhouses and laboratories at Rajsko are sometimes used in Holocaust-denial narratives to suggest that Auschwitz offered prisoners comfortable living conditions. This completely removes those images from their historical context.

Rajsko was a small agricultural subcamp located about 2.5 kilometers from the main camp. From June 1943, several hundred women prisoners were housed there and worked mainly in two areas: horticulture and experimental plant research.
The greenhouses were not producing food for the general prisoner population. Vegetables, fruit and flowers were intended for the SS, their families and civilian workers, who could also purchase them at a sales point there. Another group of prisoners worked at an experimental station cultivating kok-saghyz, a rubber-producing plant. The aim was to develop a source of natural rubber useful to the German war economy.
Many women assigned to this work were highly educated specialists in biology, chemistry or agronomy. Because the experiments required cleanliness, precision and skilled labor, conditions at Rajsko were considerably better than in Birkenau. Prisoners there had better opportunities for hygiene and clean clothing and were less exposed to some forms of everyday camp brutality.
That relative privilege is an important part of the history and should not be concealed. But neither should it be transformed into evidence about Auschwitz as a whole. Rajsko involved only a few hundred prisoners performing specialized work for the SS and German economic interests. At the same time, only a few kilometers away, prisoners in Birkenau faced starvation, disease, forced labor and selections, while Jews arriving in mass transports were being murdered in the gas chambers.
My position is that gender dysphoria is a real, painful condition and that for some adults, the only way they may feel able to resolve that inner conflict is transition. If that’s the road they choose I wish them long life and happiness and I would vigorously oppose any discrimination against them when it comes to employment, housing or voting rights.
I do not believe children have the capacity to consent to treatments that may leave them infertile and, in some cases, anorgasmic. Multiple studies have shown that gender dysphoria in childhood and adolescence is not uncommon, for gay kids particularly, but it also occurs in, for example, straight girls who hate the idea of becoming women and sometimes, tragically, in children who’ve been abused. The available evidence shows that in the majority of cases, gender dysphoria resolves after the person has gone through adolescence. I am strongly opposed to the experimental treatment of blocking puberty in dysphoric children. I believe trans activists have behaved hugely unethically and irresponsibly in pretending that there is good evidence that these treatments are beneficial (there isn’t), that puberty blockers are completely reversible (there is a mounting body of evidence to suggest they aren’t) or that children are likely to kill themselves if denied blockers (there is no evidence to support this and suicide prevention charities warn against making such statements, due to the very real danger of suicide contagion.)
Of course, not all trans-identified people are dysphoric. Erotic transvestism, also known as autogynephilia, (getting a sexual thrill out of dressing as/pretending to be a woman) has been around for a very long time. I believe lesbians are entitled to exclude straight, cross-dressing men from their dating pools without being accused of bigotry and worse (same goes for gay men with trans-identified women). It’s profoundly homophobic to attack gay people for being same-sex attracted.
I don’t believe anyone, adult or child, is ‘born in the wrong body.’ That is an unfalsifiable, quasi-religious belief. A person may *feel* as if they’re in the wrong body, but humans cannot literally change sex. However they identify, men don’t belong in the single-sex spaces for which women fought so hard.
