Almost one year ago I was detained on arrival in London immediately after landing on a flight from Beirut. I was held for hours, interrogated, had my DNA taken and my electronic devices seized.

I was told that I was under investigation for potential terror-related activities, linked to my work as a journalist in countries deemed unpalatable to the British state.

Others including @georgegalloway and @richimedhurst have been subjected to similar treatment. One year on and I’m still living in exile from my own country and in reality I am never likely to be able to return with the threat of a prison sentence looming over me.

Full solidarity with @loffredojeremy the latest victim of the increasingly authoritarian British state which allows IDF soldiers and those that have fought against Russia in Ukraine to enter freely, while targeting those who stand against imperialist wars and genocide.

The UK Parliament will today (4.30 pm) debate a petition calling for an inquiry into Israeli influence in British politics after it passed the 100,000-signature threshold.

Talk is cheap, and Israeli influence, which is overwhelming in the UK, will of course continue unabated.

Nonetheless, this debate is better than nothing, and Hansard, at least, will record for posterity the views of the handful of honest MPs in Westminster who are brave enough to speak the truth.

But it’s not just ‘Israel’.

The malign influence of Ukrainian lobbyists on British politics also needs to be investigated.

In particular, the Association of Ukrainians in Great Britain (AUGB) has achieved a dangerous level of respectability in this country that belies its true role as a front for the modern yet still Far-Right and Banderite OUN-B.

The blind, or corrupt, acceptance by @UKParliament and @SeneddWales of Ukraine's canonical and ahistorical 'Holodomor' genocide narrative stands in particular as a testament to the @AUGBSUB's corrosive influence, not just on politics but also on the British education system.

Of particular note are the two 'Holodomor as genocide' resolutions passed on May 25th and October 25th 2023, respectively.

They were not passed on the basis of objective historical analysis but instead to satisfy the demands of Far-Right Ukrainian activists, as well as Britain's own traditional and irrational Russophobia.

The sooner these appalling resolutions are revisited by responsible politicians and repealed, the better.

British politics must stop giving way to the demands of Ukrainian, and Israeli, fascists.

Yes, it's important to remember my great uncle, but it’s also important not to distort his testimony to serve a Ukrainian ultra-nationalist, ahistorical, divisive myth.

As a pacifist, and someone who railed against the folly of nationalism, Gareth would undoubtedly have been appalled by this propaganda-serving 'plinth'.

Whatever the fictional 'Mr Jones' might have done, the real Gareth Jones clearly reported on what he saw as one great, undivided famine affecting multiple ethnicities across various grain-producing regions of the USSR.

In the border region he walked through, he witnessed Ukrainians, Russians and Russo-Ukrainians starving together, side by side, united by their peasantry, not divided by 'nationality'.

He actually appears to have interviewed far more starving Russians than he did starving Ukrainians and his evidence gathering was mainly around Moscow and south of Belgorod.

In fact, Gareth only walked for a few hours and no more than 15 or so kilometres into Soviet Ukraine. He spent one night with a Ukrainian peasant from whom he gained his most crucial evidence for the pan-Soviet famine he would later expose.

The following three nights he was 'wined and dined' (without the wine, of course!) at the, by then, Nazi German Consulate in Kharkov.

The main beneficiaries of his reporting at the time were, in fact, the Nazis. The British government, who were buying the cheap Soviet grain, didn't like the exposure at all!

His actual testimony completely undermines the ‘ethnic genocide’ holodomor theory which the 'plinth' tries to back up. However, the Welsh Parliament, heavily influenced by an OUN-B agent involved in the project, is evidently not interested in history. Much easier to watch the propaganda fiction 'Mr Jones'!

What isn’t being reported is that the council in Kiev hosting the ‘plinth’ is the same one that is removing memorials to the Soviet Ukrainians and Russians who brought an end to the Holocaust.

And in their place they’re commemorating Ukrainian OUN-B fascists, such as Roman Shukhevych and Stepan Bandera, who helped the Nazis perpetrate it. Are Nazis really good bedfellows for a so-called Welsh hero?

And £16,000 of taxpayers' money is being spent on this shameful project. So much for the @SeneddWales' empty promise to “ensure that the darkness of the Holocaust and the lessons it holds for all of us are never forgotten”. Talk is cheap.

If Wales had a more credible, independent media, not one funded by, and in the pocket of, the
@SeneddWales, someone would be exposing this scandal. Inevitably, one day, it will be exposed.

Perhaps those who should be doing that job now are too busy on jollies, fattening themselves at the Chinese money trough!

Gareth Jones' firsthand account of the Great Soviet Famine clearly indicates that the so-called "#holodomor" is a cynical myth created by Banderite, ethnic-genocide-obsessed Ukrainian ultra-nationalists aimed at inciting division and conflict among brothers.

"Famine, far greater than the famine of 1921, is now visiting Russia. The hunger of twelve years ago was only prevalent in the Volga and in some other regions, but today the hunger has attacked the Ukraine, the North Caucasus, the Volga district, Central Asia, Siberia - indeed, every part of Russia. 

I have spoken to peasants or to eye-witnesses from every one of those districts and their story is the same. There is hardly any bread left, the peasants either exist on potatoes and cattle fodder, or, if they have none of these, die off.

In the three agricultural districts which I visited, namely, the Moscow region, the Central Black Earth district, and North Ukraine, there was no bread left in any village out of the total twenty villages to which I went.  In almost every village peasants had died of hunger.

Even twenty miles away from Moscow there was no bread.  When I travelled through these Moscow villages the inhabitants said: “It is terrible.  We have no bread"."
