This is the state of the national TV now. A nobody with zero talent talking nonsense for attention. Once upon a time no marks like this would spout off in a pub and get a slap. Now they are put on TV.
Utterly depressing.
A lot going on at LFC atm but this is terribly sad news. A legend for both Liverpool and Newcastle and for people of a certain age their first footballing hero and a true superstar of his time.
Watched hours and hours of footage as a kid of him and Toshack causing chaos ❤️
@A_GymGuy Dont see how in the next year or 2 this club will compete. The lack of leadership, long term planning and lack of clear playing identity is alarming. Another window where they need minimum 6 players not to mention the manager has lost the existing dressing room anyway. Shambles
@BrianKingston 'Leave it alone' is everything that holds NI back. Why would you not want to move forward instead?
Have more people from all different backgrounds be part of supporting the NI national team? Could have a whole new generation feeling like it's for them too.
This is it for me. They used to get stuff wrong but at least you could make your peace with it if it was happening at speed and they get one look. The fact they now get to watch stuff back and still get it so badly wrong so many times makes it feel so much worse.
@Lenlfc@robbohuyton Yeah possibly, I just struggle to align with this way of handling it. This club is strongest when fans, players and manager are aligned and its difficult to watch how this is all panning out. Should never be played out in the media and Salah of all people understand that aspect.
@Lenlfc@robbohuyton Dont think anyone is burying their heads. Fans can see it isn't acceptable and rightly voiced their opinion last Saturday. What we dont need is this circus of players coming out in the media with this sort of stuff considering their part in it all too. Its a total mess
The Premier League have had that coming all season. Have encouraged a league built on set-pieces by letting everything go at corners all season, then decide in the most decisive game of the season they’ve probably been doing it wrong for the last eight months
@TeleFootball@Carra23 Pure nonsense. Arsenal can afford to lose and still win the league. City totally collapse under pressure without Rodri and theyll not even get maximum points out of their 4 games left.
@HenryJackson87 This summer is massive for the 2 biggest clubs in England. Sticking with the managers that both currently have and neither will be near the big trophies for the foreseeable future, United more so as theyve a lot of work still to do to compete with 3 games a week.
@AndyBell26 Miserable performance. To get back to 2 each was a total gift then just nothing really. No idea what a Liverpool goal looks like anymore. We've lost there before in more meaningful games yet not felt as deflated as today. Dont recognise this team at all
@AndyBell26 Surgery hopefully beginning with Arne leaving and taking a few of those out there today with him. It was like a copy of the 3-2 defeat under hodgson. Never really in the game and handed 2 goals
@_Dan_Austin Maybe bias speaking here but City v Liverpool 2019 is still the best game of football I've seen for quality and intensity, the top 2 sides in Europe at the time. Tonight's was a brilliant advert for attacking intent but the defending was mind boggling at times
@Willlrtz Same was said for Liverpool and City for 5/6 years. Football goes in cycles and hopefully more of the top premier league sides take note of this way of approaching games of football
A brilliant effort yesterday by everyone and a massive thanks to all who helped and supported.
It’s a message the club surely has to listen to now.
This isn’t going away.
Being the only club to shut down a conversation with its own supporters by locking in general admission price rises for three years is tone deaf, however it’s spun.
Three years. No annual say. No accountability.
Normalising price rises when there is already widespread concern about the direction of the game is all business and no heart.
And that’s the clash.
Fans love their clubs and give everything to supporting them.
Give something back, instead of seeing what more you can wring out of them.
