"They are letting down this country on a massive scale"
@IanWright0 looks at Scotland's football vision and future moving forward... 🏴

While the United Kingdom faced unprecedented illegal boat crossings, UN agencies condemned plans for deportations.
UN officials lobbied aviation regulators to prevent the deportation of migrants – an appalling violation of the UK’s national sovereignty.
Ed Miliband says the choice is to build wind farms or gas power plants.
This is dishonest.
He needs to build the gas plants anyway for when the wind doesn’t blow. They’ll just sit idle most of the time.
That’s the model: more capacity, lower productivity = higher cost energy.
@renewablesmiffy@World_of_clowns@ClaireCoutinho In 2024 production was 630,000 barrels a day, so around 230 million a year and yes with no investment this will continue to decline. Still plenty in the North Sea to last for years and we should continue to invest in our North Sea whilst transitioning to cleaner energy
@renewablesmiffy@World_of_clowns@ClaireCoutinho NSTA have upped their projected by over a billion barrels. Potentially around 15.8 billion barrels recoverable reserves (currently)
9 billion barrels has flown down the forties pipeline since the 70’s.
Still plenty there…
@ArtMcFall@GBPolitcs@Telegraph This chart is from 2015 a tad out of date? The total cost per barrel will vary from platform to platform. Some articles online suggest cost can be as low as $18 to produce a barrel in the North Sea…
The assassination of Charlie Kirk is bringing out some of the best in humanity and it’s also exposing some of the worst. The unification, love, support, and outcry on his behalf throughout the world is heartwarming. The number of people supporting Tyler Robinson’s appalling behavior has opened my eyes to a side of extremism with a moral superiority complex that has also shaken my belief in people in general. I hope they are held accountable for their disgusting rhetoric.
It just gets worse for Starmer/Reeves and the Labour government. Now the prestigious, left-leaning National Institute for Economic and Social Research (NIESR) says the Chancellor will have a £50 billion fiscal black hole to fill come the October Budget — and this time she won’t be able to blame the Tories.
@SophieP25397 You are correct with around 11% of GDP, but I am sure the welfare / benefits cost adds up to around 25% of total government spending.
I don’t think anyone really wants to cut benefits from the genuine ill and disabled.
