Okay, so I know we already know what's coming soon in terms of chapters for the most part, but someone PLEASE tell me you want it too π
(it's literally been my dream chapter since I started playing the game)
#dbd#DeadbyDaylight#CallofDutyZombies
@7cmPwincess Perfectly fine to do unless it's with the sole intent to bleed people out. Slugging creates pressure for the killer side, but the situation is a lot easier to deal with on the surv side than a lot of people think. It's faster than hook pressure, but a lot more temporary
@KGirl586 Der Reise could work yeah! I do worry a bit about it being too small, but you could pretty easily expand the gameplay area like I would wanna do with Griffin Station
@KCID___GIB@DomocidexBunny_ Yeah, that makes sense. Idk I just hate that it's so inaccessible at this price point. I know market conditions aren't Valve's fault, but I wish something would get done about that monstrous price other than throwing our hands up and calling it quits on trying to price accessibly
@SaccharineDawn I need people to stop acting like this thing isn't a console. The whole point is that it's as much like a console as it possibly can be. I need people to stop acting like I'm an idiot for comparing it to the things it's trying desperately to be like and compete with π
@Prince_Aizel Replies telling me I'm wrong: what's the appeal of it if not that it's basically a console? Why would you want one? Cuz SteamOS being widely available now means the appeal can't be the OS, and form factor is not an answer either for something that sits still and doesn't move.
@Prince_Aizel "Buh it not a console!!1!" Yes it is, quit playing. The whole point of it is that it's as close to a console as you can get without it *technically* being one.
@_Hazardous_Wolf Reddit pc bros who think price accessibility is for dumb losers. Ik that's not who valve wanted the demographic to be, but with this price that's the only person who's gonna buy one
Honestly yeah this is my main problem. I hate to say I kinda want it to fail now, but with the customer base being PC bros who think fighting for price accessibility is stupid? I kinda do want it to fail now cuz I don't want that to be the precedent
I was like actually hoping this would succeed, but this price alone changed its customer base from casual consumers who wanna get into pc in the best most accesible way to redditors who buy stuff based on branding alone
@Spangled_Man41@vozercozer The newer versions of easy anti-cheat don't work on linux, so a lot of online games don't work on steam OS. It's not because they're not on steam, it's a hardware limitation
@Eggzues@eternalxiv Is that not the entire reason they enstated the reservation system? To prevent exactly that? And why you can only get one if you have a steam account already? With multiple purchases from at least several months ago? And why each address can only get a single one shipped to them?
@greatdegwinzabi@eternalxiv They can just not sell them to businesses though?? They control who gets one, just don't sell them in bulk or to companies ππ
@Jaiydanimate I think it's more people not really having the energy to mention the part we all know already. Like yeah the rich are at fault for computer prices, but we all know that and we can't do anything but wait for the bubble to pop. I love valve, but a BIG delay was probably necessary
And a lot of people are like "They can't sell it at a loss cuz companies would buy them in bulk and nobody would get one!"
Can't Valve just like.. not sell them in bulk/to companies?? Can't they just choose not to do that??? Nobody's forcing them to allow that to happen.
IGN - 'The Steam Machine Was Originally Meant to Cost About $750' based on Valve saying the increase was "probably similar" to price increase that the Steam Deck experienced last month (though article incorrectly says Steam Machine increase last month, I assume they mean Deck) https://t.co/z0Lz0cMKjx
@HardwareSteam I was SUPER excited for it, but the only way I or honestly most people were gonna buy this thing is if the base model were at most $800. MAYBE $850 if Valve really really really wanted to push their luck
