@richardtgarland The only people putting peace at risk is the Orange Order insisting on marching through areas where they are not wanted. This is all on them and you know it .
Faced with the prospect of 35 Republicans parading through Markethill, Emma would be positively apoplectic with rage. After all, a bus stop called ‘Short Strand’ was enough to set her off.
We’re in this crisis because unionist leaders are choosing antagonism over reconciliation.
I strongly condemn the Parades Commission’s decision to permit an unwanted Orange march through the Garvaghy Road community this Sunday. There is no reasonable or logical basis for it.
For 28 years, the people of Garvaghy Road have lived in peace. That peace was never a problem to be solved. It is a peace to be protected.
This march is steeped in a history of hate, sectarian violence and murder. People across the North are dismayed by this decision.
Sinn Féin stands fully with the Garvaghy Road community. They have the support of nationalists right across Ireland in the time ahead.
@mooreholmes24 Hilarious. The reaction of Unionists to Trumps comments is a sight to behold. Panic is setting in. The political ground is shifting and they know it
@timcairns@JamieBrysonLLB Tomorrow thousands of apprentice boys will march through the streets of Derry an overwhelming Nationalist city causing considerable disruption to people’s daily lives. And generosity is not reciprocated. Mind blowing Tim
