I went to the bookstore (yes, they still exist) and I got so caught up in what I was buying that I forgot to show my discount code. I guess it says a lot about me

Nothing good usually happens when humans travel in time. Will it be the case in Philip Reari's "Earth Jumped Back" too?

At times you even forget that there was also a terrible menace lurking in the woods, and the story about its inception. But not for very long.

Can't remember the last time a book caused me so many conflicting emotions.
Congrats @james_longmore for a ride I won't forget anytime soon and as usual thanks @HenryRoiPR for giving me the chance to read so many peculiar books.

My honest review of @ABMichaelsBooks's "The Twisted Road", aka the one where I plainly confess how much I'd love to be a knife-thrower.

An intriguing and clever murder mystery set in the early 20th Century.
@HenryRoiPR
Some murder mysteries capture readers with their intricacy and witty solution.
In @KGChapman's "The Other Murder", on the other hand, the crime is more a device to tell a compelling story about inequality and prejudice.

I had so many expectations about Stuart Turton's "The Devil and the Dark Water", and while not flawless, it was another hell of a ride.
Review โก๏ธ https://t.co/45pC6Q2Qv0
Previous book by Turton, "The 7 1/2 Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle", had blown my heart with its complexity and its exploration of themes not usually present in classic murder mysteries.
"The Devil and the Dark Water" did it again, maybe in a less convoluted way
Things that stand out are the ones we tend to remember the most, and I think Iโll remember Carrie Hayes' โWell Dressed Liesโ for quite some time

Maybe it's the classic "careful what you wish for" cautionary tale, maybe it's an attempt at crystallize what's changing around me trying to make sense of it. Maybe it's just trying to say it out loud to make it less scary
