I don't like when people use those moments to ask a question that is not producing a response from someone in the highest office in the land, a taxpayer funded individual. On Thursday, ICE needlessly detained Eduardo Aguirre Esparza, a local Seattle small business owner with no criminal history. This is a man who is married to an American citizen and with deep ties to our local community who was working hard to pursue a legal pathway to lawful permanent residence. For the federal government to waste its resources to forcefully detain and deport Eduardo and tear apart an American family is plain sick. Our immigration enforcement should be focused on violent criminals and keeping Americans safe—deporting hardworking people like Eduardo makes no one safer, it’s just cruel and wrong.

Gulf War Navy Veteran, Arturo Quiñonez Solis, was deported this morning. He is in a fragile medical condition due to open-heart surgery on June 22.

He hasn’t had his meds since he was detained on July 18. ICE only gave him Tylenol and aspirin, despite having his meds in their possession.

They knew the deportation flight could kill him, but they don’t care. There is no reforming this organization. You can’t out train white supremacy and this kind of hatred.

Impeach, convict, and remove everyone complicit in these crimes against humanity.
