@Gorgonner6@Maelstrom_Demon The difference for me is that it’s a creative work. It’s taking from other people’s art, with no expression or intentionality. When there’s no intention, you just stop thinking about why something is designed this or that way.
@PsykoPyro@Maelstrom_Demon What would be different if he had coded everything by hand then? Doing more work to achieve the exact same result?
It’s like saying “I hate the invention of lawn mowers, that guy could have just cut all the grass by hand”
@MP40sHusband Yeah, what gets me is that it's so braindead. Doesn't even play into the fantasy of the MiG-31, if you will, to utilize its high speed for hit and run attacks or something.
@Maelstrom_Demon Sad to see some people like SlyAceZeta also have an immediate and angry reaction upon hearing how it was made and saying "fuck that guy".
@Maelstrom_Demon Anti-AI purists right now
I'm fully against generative AI, but using it for coding and decompilation and stuff is the more ideal case. It's simply a TOOL to help the modder, it doesn't replace him. I think it's just a knee-jerk assumption that AI did 100% of the work.
@Cr4zYAiM Literally all MCC needed to do, at the bare minimum, is give us a modded customs browser. They couldn’t even do that when Custom Edition let you play with mods on the server browser
@scarzonreplay You can see it with a lot of LGBT in-fighting. Like the really extreme people that would shame someone for being lesbian instead of pan-poly-omni-whatever sexual because “you’re a bigot if you only like women”
I firmly believe that if you are creating a game and you put status ailments in the game, only to make every single elite enemy and boss completely immune to status ailments altogether, I think you should reconsider being a game designer and ponder busking for coins on the street
@NixLychee Xenoblade 3 does that and it’s so annoying.
Taion’s default class is built around debuffs, only for every elite enemy and boss to be either immune or like 90% resistant. Like thanks, I can make the weak normal enemies even weaker. Just…why.
@FunLilCharacter Halo has been a shambling corpse for years anyways. And if you’re a 343 fan, it’s a recent shambling corpse!
Mass Effect as well, though not to such a dramatic degree, between 3 and Andromeda
@Bravo683 I love AC6 being the outlier in that way. Talisman is already a skilled pilot who can rise to the occasion, but the war truly feels like a group effort where Emmeria has strong unity. I feel like a professional pilot fighting alongside his nation, not in front of them.
