@jimmydean197 Does Bend now have ample employment to support starter homes priced at $535k? Back in the day, there were only hospitality and QSR positions.
Guys don’t want to have kids in a system that forces them out of the child’s life and treats them like only a piggy bank… family child custody laws need to change…
And, to spur economic development, the State of Oregon should offer an incentive to Tyson Foods to open a chicken processing plant in a nearby community with open business park space...perhaps La Pine. Then there will be jobs for the migrants and tax revenue for the local community. Another win for central Oregon!
@jimmydean197 The community should do something smart like offering incentives to a data center in order to attract workers, thus increasing housing demand and firming up prices.
@gnoble79 2027 GAAP earnings (the current fiscal year) are estimated to be $43 billion. I don't see how the $1.9 billion referenced in the post is meaningful. What am I am I missing?
