Wiki announced ‘Ancient History,’ his first solo album in 7 years. The project is set to release June 12. ⁠

According to a press release, the album centers on New York City parks as everyday infrastructure—“places to meet friends, write, think, observe people, and briefly step outside the rush of the city without ever really leaving it.” The lead single "Park" is out now and sets the tone.⁠

@wikset worked with a range of producers including The Alchemist, Navy Blue, Nick Hakim, Dom Maker (Mount Kimbie), and dj blackpower (MIKE). The 14-track project features NYC artists Your Old Droog, duendita, and Salimata. Wiki also tapped two NYC artists to design his cover art: Esteban Jefferson and an alternate cover from Barry Blitt⁠.

‘Ancient History’ is Wiki's first solo full-length project since 2019’s ‘Oofie.’ But he’s been quite active in recent years, releasing collaborative projects with Tony Seltzer, MIKE & The Alchemist, Navy Blue, NAH, and Subjxct5.
