@tes@tombennett71@jloweatBGL This is fantastic news for our schools - high expectations; common sense and an absolute focus on every child having same chance in life!
@Headteacherchat Reflection- Schools default to middle-class norms—like strict dress codes —which can unintentionally alienate working-class pupils. As @Lem_Exeter reflected in his brilliant visit to our trust, this push for “standards” can come at the cost of belonging. #EquityInEducation
We're pleased to announce that Bohunt Farnborough has been nominated for TES School of the Year. A huge well done to all the staff, students and families who have helped make this happen. The school is going from strength to strength! #TeamFAB#EnjoyRespectAchieve#farnborough
Absolutely buzzing to be hosting MAT leaders at our trust over the next 2 days; touring 4 of our brilliant schools & reconnecting with fantastic colleagues- looking at how we can all help our children and colleagues thrive in a transforming world @WholeEducation@Bohunt_Trust
@StephenMorganMP@bphillipsonMP@educationgovuk Congratulations Stephen - you’ve been a wonderful servant for schools in Portsmouth and educational equity. Every child needs a champion; we are, to steal from our mutual friend Stewart Vaughan, purveyors of hope.
@tombennett71 I’m a dad & care deeply about kids. I’m also a leader. I’ve spent A LOT of time thinking on how to fix behaviour in very challenging school just joined our MAT.
This week started line-ups / warm strict / DFL. It’s been epic-kids are saying they now feel safer and can learn.
A massive well done to all our Year 7 to Year 10 students for completing this year's sponsored walk all in aid of Home-Start CHAMS. There is still time to donate, please go to https://t.co/E5xoUZmrBO

@tombennett71 Open spaces within schools can hugely benefit improvement because they enable the overt rehearsal of visible, designed culture - where students see other students getting it right every day - ‘what we do here’ -
One of the best CPD days of my career today, spent talking to @JoeAmbroseGLT and @phillipalewisGLT at @GreenshawTrust about school improvement so that every child has the same chance. Utterly inspired by the deep values and relational approach that underpins all they do.
@Xris32 I love the passion here, but the narrative doesn’t chime at all with my experience of leadership - I work in MAT where every leader inc. our CEO teaches - we see this as the first duty for all leaders - keeping the main thing the main thing.

I couldn't be prouder of my nephew, David, his partner Vic, & their legal action @LambdaLegal against the state of Florida. Their case: https://t.co/AXaHTHUmjL. The video: https://t.co/kWlOPKBzml. Our family: https://t.co/Byd8LcDqC1
#Teachers#edutwitter please be mindful when writing reports! If you feel a child with #SEND needs to “stay focused/avoid distraction” maybe you also need to adapt your teaching style/class environment to meet the child’s identified needs. #Reflections#autism#Anxiety#dyslexia
@thatteacherguy_ 100% agree - kids in packed busses with no air conditioning at hottest part of day not smart at all. Combine with ambulance black alert. If it’s a red alert, we will just close - safety and welfare; relieving pressure on health services
