Proud to share that members of our group presented their research at #ICTAM2024 in South Korea:
Avital Reizman, @ezra_ben_abu, @SofiaKuperman
Congratulations to everyone for their outstanding presentations!
Special thanks to @AmirDGat for making this all possible
An insect-sized microbot powered by “explosive” actuators was capable of walking, turning, jumping, and could carry a payload 22 times its body weight, a new Science study finds.

Netanel Chen's new paper is out! 📜 ✈
His paper "The effect of airfoil elasticity on quasistatic aerodynamics and divergence" was recently published in the Journal of Fluids and Structures.

Congratulations to Netanel Chen on his first published paper as a Ph.D student! Our work studies the effects of airfoil elasticity on quasistatic aerodynamics and divergence, as well as lift, aerodynamic center, and twist angle. Check it out – https://t.co/34kEL8c2V8.
The team has developed a unique concept that uses a straw-like structure with predefined constraints to allow for a desired 3D path in space.

@AmirDGat and Ezra co-organized the Bi- & Multi-Stability in Soft Robots Workshop at #RoboSoft2023 in Singapore and presented our group's recent projects on flow-controlled shape morphing multi-stable structures.
Well done! 👏

I'll give a talk on "A metafluid with multistable density & energy states" today March/8 at 17:48 during the APS MARCH meeting. Interested in this subject? I look forward to seeing you in room 206.
Our RoboSoft 2023 Workshop has been accepted for the first half-day of April 3rd. The preliminary workshop program can be found at https://t.co/dH432Al7Ys. We're still considering holding a short poster session. If that is possible, we'll provide an update. See you in Singapore!
Flow batteries are considered to be a leading solution for large-scale energy storage, but their energy release rate falls behind the competition.

The group's last paper of 2022 is out!
This study is focused on modeling and experiments of viscous flows within multistable metamaterials in order to control their dynamic response and other properties, for soft robotics and deployable structures.
