The Historiscope has arrived in our castle garden.
This fantastic augmented reality viewer transports you back in time and lets you see a part of the castle as its 16th-century version.
Make sure to give it a go next time you are at the castle.
#MaryQueenOfScots was imprisoned at Lochleven Castle #OTD in 1567.
During her almost year-long stay there, she was forced to abdicate and her infant son James VI ascended the throne. He was crowned at the Church of the Holy Rude, just outside Stirling Castle.
A bit of Stirling Castle to enjoy and a reminder for the weekend. #StayAtHome so we can welcome you back again when the time is right.
We look forward to it already 💚

My island views over the last week during my little walks around Berneray & North Uist. On what should be a busy bank holiday, the beaches and roads are deserted. But this is a good thing, it is so important for our islands with the current coronavirus situation. #OuterHebrides
For now we need to stay at home
All plans and celebrations on hold
But don’t stop dreaming of those special places, they’re in your heart
We’ll be waiting to welcome you.
Stay safe and #loveFifelater@VisitScotland
