We went to #COP30 in Belém knowing the challenges. Knowing our voices as faith actors might struggle to be heard in those halls. We went anyway. This work is about showing up for each other, everyday, in solidarity. #ClimateJustice#FaithInAction#SystemicChange

Week 1 in #Belem for #COP30 with @CIDSE felt both longer and too short. Inside the venue, progress on just transition and climate finance still needs real political will. Outside, the People’s Summit breathed hope, urgency, solidarity. The Amazon is speaking, are we listening?
🌍 The People's Summit in Belém has demonstrated the vital contribution of civil society, grassroots movements and indigenous peoples to climate solutions.
🙅🏻♀️ Nothing should be decided at #COP30 without the involvement of the communities most affected.
First day at #COP30 with a very successful meeting between the NCCEA (Network of Catholic Climate and Environment Actors) and the Holy See Delegation. Always impressed by the expertise, the passion, and commitment of this community and the process that brought us here. @CIDSE
🧭 Next stop? Belém!
