If you want United to return the culture and identity that existed under Sir Alex give me a follow 👍 End lockdowns, rules & restrictions - no freedom passes!
@UtdForever7@PavRana_7@ManUtd@premierleague How do we define best?
The three most talented - Ronaldo, Rooney, Rio.
The three most influential - Cantona, Keane, Giggs.
Bruno’s filled in for our lack of quality strikers with his goals and assists but he doesn’t make the starting XI of any of our great teams.
@AlternativeMUFC We’re talking about a £70m striker with less than one goal in every 3 games in a team that hasn’t come close to a title in 13 years.
If the most successful captain in the history of United doesn’t think that’s praiseworthy then I’d shut up and listen.
@onelove1878 “people who know, understand, and feel this club”
Yes, that’s a vital criteria. But does Carrick have the rest needed? Is he a big/strong enough leader to enforce it when the chips are down?
@DesireMUFC@MartienBall I think the environment was always too relaxed under Ole making sustained, long term focus less likely when players could take their foot off the gas without consequences. The security of his permanent contract might have fed into that further.
@DesireMUFC@MartienBall Consistently over a season allowing for a blip every now and then.
Ole won 10 of his first 12 PL games… then only 4 of his next 18.
So longer than that.
@subtyronean@MailSport If you read the article they call him more than that and even suggest Sky should remove him.
All because he shared an opinion that Carrick isn’t the best man for the job.
@onelove1878 It’s lucky we scored two worldies otherwise Martinez getting outmuscled by Timber that led to his own goal would be getting talked about more.
@emmy_seth@UtdDefence Roy has everything Carrick’s got with a bigger winning mentality, better motivational ability, greater respect in the game and higher standards.
Plus a more extensive and successful management career.
He’s been overlooked only due to his personal relationship with Ferguson.
@times_utd@MartienBall Nice guys can manage but aren’t the best motivators.
Look at Pep, Klopp, Conte, Fergie. They all have a nasty side players don’t want to experience.
It’s about having a stick as well as a carrot if you get the analogy?
The hare and the hound fable?
Fear gives the heels wings?
@UnofficialPund1 The guy in the studio is ten times the leader with a better and more extensive management record than Carrick.
He would have had us winning titles the last 13 years.
The only reason he hasn’t is because of his fallout with Ferguson.
I’d listen to him.
@dazjamescarter@MartienBall I’ve got no worries about his tactics or intelligence but it doesn’t count for much without the drive.
It’s easy for players to get up for the big games and new manager bounce.
But can Carrick keep them motivated week in week out in the PL?
He couldn’t when under Ole.
@AmorimEra @BeyondUTD1 Football isn’t that complicated and micromanaging every situation is exactly what top players don’t need.
These tactico managers like Amorim, Ten Hag, Mourinho and Van Gaal are the problem not the solution.
United - duty to entertain! Let the players play!
